Isaiah Joe shot better than 40% on 3-pointers last season for OKC. The Detroit Pistons have reportedly added another shooter to their 60-win mix. Per multiple reports, Detroit will acquire guard Isaiah Joe from Oklahoma City for a pair of second-round picks.

Detroit has been busy in the offseason, jettisoning big man Isaiah Stewart to Memphis for future second-round picks and now, adding a shooter for second-round picks. The Pistons pick up a stellar wing shooter for Cade Cunningham — Joe averaged 11.1 points in 21.2 minutes per game while shooting 42.3% on six 3-point attempts — and the Thunder have now accumulated four second-round picks in separate trades of Joe and Aaron Wiggins.

2 future second-round picks

Joe has improved his stats in each of his six NBA seasons, topping out at a career-best 11.1 points per game last season while shooting 42.3% on 3-pointers — a percentage that ranked 10th among players with at least 200 3-point attempts. He was No. 30 in the NBA in 3-pointers made (181) and joins the Pistons, who won an Eastern Conference-leading 60 games and reached the Eastern Conference semifinals. In Detroit, he’ll play alongside All-NBA guard Cade Cunningham and join a team that features capable 3-point shooters in Duncan Robinson (41% on 3-pointers), Daniss Jenkins (37.4%) and others.

The Thunder continue to shake up their roster as well. The trade of Joe comes days after OKC dealt Aaron Wiggins to the Hawks for two future second-round picks. Wiggins, a member of Oklahoma City’s championship team in 2024-25, averaged 9.4 ppg on 43.1% shooting last season.
