LAS VEGAS – The Philadelphia 76ers led by 24 points in the third quarter and held on to beat the Indiana Pacers in overtime, 100-93, at the 2026 NBA Summer League on Saturday.
The one-two punch of rookie Labaron Philon and second-year center Johni Broome proved to be the deciding factor in the Sixers’ win. Philon, the No. 22 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, paced Philadelphia with 24 points and six assists, adding three rebounds and a steal with just two turnovers. Broome (No. 35 in 2025) posted 23 points and 11 rebounds with three assists, a steal and a block.
Philly took a 59-45 lead into halftime, then came storming out of the gates with a 12-2 run to start the third quarter, giving them a game-high 24-point advantage at the 6:48 mark, 71-47. Indiana responded with an impressive 20-9 stretch fueled by Yuki Kawamura and Braden Smith to close the frame. The Pacers trimmed the deficit to 80-67 heading to the fourth and battled back to tie the game at 93.
It was all Philadelphia in OT, though, as they scored all seven points while holding Indiana scoreless. The Sixers secured the tight victory by dominating points in the paint (50-32).
Dante Maddox Jr. scored 15 points and added six rebounds and three assists, while Matt Rogers poured in 17 points and three rebounds. Jalen Slawson scored a game-high 26 points on 8-for-16 shooting to lead five Pacers in double figures, adding five boards, one assist, one steal and one block. Braden Smith finished with 16 points, two rebounds, five assists and two steals against just one turnover, and Kawamura helped spark the third-quarter rally with 12 points, three boards and three assists.
The Pacers (1-1) return to the court on Monday against the Toronto Raptors (4:30 ET, ESPN2), while the 76ers take on the Houston Rockets on Tuesday (4 ET, Prime Video).
