2026 NBA Summer League: Kings fight back to beat Hornets

LAS VEGAS ā Emanuel Sharp scored 16 points to lead six in double figures as the Sacramento Kings defeated the Charlotte Hornets, 92-90, at the 2026 NBA Summer League on Friday. Sharp did a little bit of everything in the victory, tallying four three-pointers, two rebounds, three assists and three steals with just one turnover in 30 minutes.
The Kings took control with a 31-19 advantage after one quarter, leading by as many as 15. The Hornets responded with a 31-24 second quarter to make it a 55-50 deficit at halftime. Charlotte pulled within one point by the end of the third and fought to grab as much as a six-point edge near the midway point of the fourth quarter, but the Kings used a balanced attack to storm back and finish Summer League with a win.
Jonathan Mogbo was sensational for the Kings, as the second-rounder from the 2024 NBA Draft impressed with 14 points, eight rebounds, four dimes and three blocks. First-round pick Alex Karaban (No. 29 in 2026) notched seven of his 14 points in the first quarter, adding two boards and three assists. Marquel Sutton chipped in 13 points and six rebounds, while Adam Flagler stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, three rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Viktor Lahkin recorded a double-double (12 points, 11 boards) with three assists off the Kingsā bench.
Charlotteās Hannes Steinbach, a 2026 lottery pick, registered his second double-double, posting 22 points on 7-for-10 shooting and 11 rebounds. Tidjane SalaĆ¼n and Christian Anderson (the No. 18 pick in 2026) contributed 18 points apiece, while Wyatt Fricks sparked with 11 points off Charlotteās bench. Anderson, the rookie out of Texas Tech, compiled four boards, eight dimes and three steals with two turnovers and a game-best plus-15 rating.
Sacramento finishes the summer 2-3, while the Hornets end with a 1-4 record.
